Zen Talbot was opened in late 2010. It is a culmination of 21 years of running a rehearsal studio. While retaining the distinctive Zen character you know and love (think blue tie-dye, fish tank, free espresso coffee, snacks a-plenty, free weekend BBQ, HEAPS of hire gear), it really is new and improved. We paid acoustic engineers way-too-much-money to plan, argue over, and design our rooms to sound as good as they possibly can and 2 of the rooms are WAY bigger than anything at Uber Zen. We purchased all-new PA gear, new recording PCs, new fridges, new air conditioning units, new carpet... the list goes on. Load in is easy from 2 entries using airport-style trolleys. The hallways are spacious. There are large hang-out areas with couches and pinball machines, and low-flying jets to watch for those who are so inclined (don't worry the rooms are well insulated for sound).

In 2011 the Zen Talbot Digital Rehearsal Recording Revolution begins. For starters, every room is setup for Pro-Tools, Cubase, & Sonar multi-track recording.

In October 2011 we unveiled our FREE Mix Rooms. Here you can listen to your recordings mid-way through your rehearsal live streamed directly from your room on powered studio monitors; and book to mix your multi-track recording in privacy at the conclusion of your paid rehearsal session.
